Fake Feminism : Reality behind feminism - Anonymous Informer

Reality of feminism

In today's time, feminism is something that everyone talks about but in reality, nobody knows what it is.
It is about the political, economic, personal, and social equality of sexes, It's not about giving more priority to female over male.
Nowadays so-called feminist says we are the protector of gender equality, we fight for gender equality, but what they really do is just promote female rule over the male gender.

History of feminism

History of feminism is divided into 4 waves:

1.First-wave (1848-1940)

First Wave began with the Seneca Falls Convention in 1848, 300 men and women gathered in Seneca Falls, New York to rally for women's legal rights.
The first wave promoted equal contract and property rights for women, opposing ownership of married women by their husbands. By the late 19th century, feminist activism was primarily focused on the right to vote. American first-wave feminism ended with the passage of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution in 1919, granting women voting rights.

2.Second-wave (1960-1990)

Second-wave feminism of the 1960s-1980s focused on issues of equality and discrimination. The second-wave slogan, “The Personal is Political,” identified women’s cultural and political inequalities as inextricably linked and encouraged women to understand how their personal lives reflected sexist power structures.
The second wave was met: more women in positions of leadership in higher education, business and politics; abortion rights; access to the pill that increased women’s control over their bodies; more expression and acceptance of female sexuality; general public awareness of the concept of and need for the “rights of women”.
Second-wave feminism was largely successful, with the failure of the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment and Nixon's veto of the Comprehensive Child Development Bill of 1972 (which would have provided a multibillion-dollar national daycare system) the only major legislative defeats.

3.Third-wave (1994-2012)

Third-wave feminism began in early 1994, responding to perceived failures of the second wave and to the backlash against second-wave initiatives. This ideology seeks to challenge the definitions of femininity that grew out of the ideas of the second-wave, arguing that the second-wave over-emphasized experiences of upper-middle-class white women. The third-wave sees women’s lives as intersectional, demonstrating how race, ethnicity, class, religion, gender, and nationality are all significant factors when discussing feminism. It examines issues related to women’s lives on an international basis.

4.Fourth-wave (2012-Present)

Fourth-wave feminism is a phase of feminism that began around 2012 and is characterized by a focus on the empowerment of women, and the use of internet tools, and is centered on intersectionality. The first, second, and third waves of feminism fought for and earned women greater liberation, individualism, and social mobility; the fourth wave continues the push against problematic gendered norms that cause the oppression and marginalization of women in society, the intersectionality of these and other interlocking systems of power, and how these contribute to the stratification of traditionally marginalized groups like women of color and trans women. Fourth-wave feminists advocate (like earlier feminists) for greater representation of these groups in politics and business, and argue that society would be more equitable if policies and practices incorporated the perspectives of all people.

Pseudo Feminists

A pseudo-feminist is a person who claims to be feminists yet ignores the main points of feminism, equality. They talk like they know everything about feminism but in reality, they don't. They talk like theorist like they have all the knowledge about feminism, they are right and everyone else is wrong, they are so egoistic.
They find sexiest in everything, like if a man pulls a chair for a woman on a date, then they are like "oh my god it so sexiest, a woman can pull a chair for herself, she doesn't need a man for that". yeah, of course, men know that they are just being polite and gentlemen, it doesn't mean that men think women can't do it themself, yes they can.
Pseudo feminists just make their own definition of feminism according to their convenience.

Fake feminism is all around us, we deal with it daily, these are some examples:

1. The biggest example is if women should be treated equally, then why generally men have to pay for a date, why women don't pay or split the bill.
Ok, some of you will say that men are too egoistic to let women pay for a date, But that's not always a case, some women think its men's job to pay for a date.

2. Feminist women shout for equal rights everywhere but don't waste a single moment asking a man sitting on Ladies Reserved seat to vacate it.

Asking of a seat by a pregnant woman is an exceptional case.

3. Another example is the income tax slab being higher for women than it is for men. An earning of women till 3,00,000-3,50,000 is tax-free in India. whereas men have to have pay tax if he is having that much income.
If they are equal then they also should be treated financially equal.

4. Although they are in the minority, it’s a crystal clear truth there are men who too are subjected to sexual crimes. The numbers of cases reported to the police are on the lower side because most of the men don’t report such crime for the fear of being ridiculed at, not being believed, and instead of facing the charges themselves.
Men are mostly kidnapped and abducted for illegal sexual intercourse, forced marriages, prostitution, etc. The number of such victims is really low but it’s a fact we cannot ignore.
According to the NCRB 2012 data, 175 men have been kidnapped and abducted for the purpose of illicit intercourse since 2009. The cases have been registered under Sec.363 to 369, 371 to 373 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Even under the law, these cases are not treated at par with the violence inflicted on women. There hasn’t been any conclusive study conducted yet on the topic.

and many more...

Real Feminism

Real feminism is equality of sexes, the equality of sexes is not hating men or putting down other women. It's a woman choice to work, to marry, to shave if and when she wants to, Real feminism is to treat women equal and fair with men.

If true feminism was followed, then we would treat all the victims equally. Victims would cease to be women or men, but just victims of abuse. But sadly, that is not the case. Pseudo/fake feminism shouts out loudly that men can’t be raped, men can’t be tormented, and men claiming to have been put under such atrocities are lying cheats. It’s most likely that I would be branded ‘anti-feminist’ by pseudo feminists all around, but I don’t mind. I don’t mind because I know how to stand up for women when they actually need it.
When a woman is put on fire, when she is raped, is brutalized, is stripped naked on the streets, forced to quit her studies to marry a man three times her senior in age, when she is blamed if she is raped, or teased, when a woman is beaten repeatedly for refusing to pressurize her parents into paying dowry, when she is considered inferior to her male counterparts, that is when I need to give voice to my anger and lash out at the people responsible for it. If I am a true feminist, I will do the same if it were a man being stoned on the streets, being raped, being accused of a fake rape, being doubted over just because he is a man. A feminist is anyone who recognizes the equality and full humanity of women and men.
